Turquoise Ridge - Senior Underground Engineer

The successful candidate must have a high attention to detail, excellent communications skills, and have 5-10 years of underground project experience.

Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
Plan, design, prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules, and cost estimates.
Meet with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities.
Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities.
Devise new approaches to problems encountered.
Work requires originality and judgment in the independent evaluation and resolution of problems Provide updated schedule of projects to mine planning department inclusive of CAPEX, OPEX estimates.
Create and analyze metrics to determine operational efficiencies and growth prospects Create an environment of trust and respect with other departments at the operation Manage and be accountable for the workload allocation and generated products from the site.
Liaison between technical services and contractors/operators to conduct reviews as needed.

degree in Engineering and 5 years of experience in Underground Mine Planning required Ventilation experience preferred Minimum 3 years of mine design and scheduling required Technical communication and presentation skills required Expert knowledge in engineering and design are required Mining or heavy mineral industry experience required Project management skills are required Ability to operate efficiently in MS Office applications, Deswik software suite.
